A Final Choice Among The Alternatives.

Many times during life, an individual will find themselves in a very disconcerting position to make a decision on a certain matter. At this point, an individual must apply opinion to rely on the heart to base their decision on a sense of emotion, or their mind to choose the most promising and realistic resolution. The ability of an the human race to make a reasonable decision that goes beyond the limits that impulse has on the mind, but had led humanity to greater intellectual heights. An intellectual decision is of one that based off of fact and the most logical aspect of a situation. This may at times be very beneficial in the way that it leads to an almost always positive outcome in the way of looking out for the future. Although proving to be a form of decision making that is at most times advantageous, it does in fact leave some space for error.

There are at times also some moments that one's feelings toward a circumstance point in the direction of action. An emotional decision is characterized by instinctive actions of the heart that are influenced by the life of that particular individual. All decisions made emotionally are in my definition, the way of natural reaction a person makes to the situation they encounter. At most all moments, this could be the most moral way of decision but is often proven most accountable to fault due to the harsh effect of reality and the current state of society. The downfall of having to face the reality of every decision being that of the heart is what distinguishes emotion against intellect, and what leads to the creation of a free mind and spirit.

Intellectual decisions, bottom line, are some of the most common among the human race since they have proven to be most favorable to the future of an individual in the way of what is to result. But in fact there may be flaw since this at most times, this is not what an individuals heart yearns for. Emotional decisions are what leads to the inclusion of a persons entire faith to be poured into every once of the decision process, and in turn an outcome that will fulfill the happiness of the whole soul. I believe always make the decision that includes the most happiness and emotion without being so instinctive as to negatively affect the outcome of the situation.

"Feelings are not supposed to be logical. Dangerous is the man who has rationalized his emotions.
-David Borenstein.

An effective example of a situation that has the inclusion of both forms of decision making is if someone was left on the verge of their life. In this situation you have a group of family, friends, and loved ones pondering the fate of an individuals life that has encountered a fatal accident leaving them to rely on a life support system. This group must decide the fate by going by the intellect of the situation that the damage is irrevocable, thus shutting the system down and letting the person go. Another path of fate though may be the way of emotional decision. This would leave the individual to wait on that sometimes unbelievable and extraordinary touch of fate that renews the persons life and allows them to live once again. This is unfortunately a circumstance that many individuals may face in their life, but I believe that everyone should have faith in life without the absence of intellect.
